"During the COVID lockdown, while confined to my home in Greenville, SC, I found solace and inspiration in memories of the serene lowcountry landscapes of South Carolina, which led to the creation of two oil paintings featuring Herons. Remembering the way the slender birds glide effortlessly over the water and stand poised in stillness waiting for the perfect bite to draw near. Through these pieces, I aimed to transport viewers to a peaceful, cherished escape, offering a moment of calm and connection to nature amidst the challenges of the pandemic."
